New cam chain fitted, and timing marks lined up correctly (I hope) There is an arrow on the cam shaft sprocket corresponding with an arrow on the timing case cover, and the same for the pump sprocket. It is hard to find the arrows on the timing case without carefully removing old gasket and sealant.

Water pump, the impellor did not turn due to a broken drive piece between the pulley and the impellor axle.
I have ordered a new type water pump with a more robust design.
